About Jon
Jonathan “Jon” Madtes is a proud second-generation Teamster who has been a dues-paying union member since 2000. His union roots and dedication to the labor movement have shaped his strong commitment to protecting workers’ rights and strengthening union solidarity.
Union Leadership & Experience
In 2008, Jon began his career at UPS as a part-time employee. Through hard work and dedication, he advanced into his current role as a full-time package car driver. Along the way, he also became a Shop Steward, proudly representing and supporting his fellow Teamsters in the workplace. In March 2024, Jon expanded his leadership role by becoming a Trustee for Teamsters Local 773, where he continues to contribute to the Local’s mission of supporting members and building a stronger union.

As both a Teamster and Shop Steward, Jon understands the importance of strong representation, fair treatment, and workplace protections. His commitment to union values and worker advocacy reflects the tradition of solidarity passed down through generations of his family.
Personal Life
Jon and his wife, Angel, are the proud parents of two daughters, Alexis and Addicyn. They enjoy spending weekends with family and friends and making lasting memories together. During the summer, they also enjoy attending baseball games and spending quality time outdoors.
