About Joseph

Joseph Lindsey has been a proud union member for over 25 years and a dedicated member of Teamsters Local 773 for the past 22 years. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to protecting workers’ rights and strengthening union solidarity.

Union Leadership & Experience

Joseph has served as a Shop Steward at UPS for the past 15 years, representing members and advocating for fair treatment in the workplace. In 2021, he made history by being elected as Teamsters Local 773’s first African American Trustee. Joseph strongly believes that being a union member means far more than carrying a union card—it means standing up and fighting for the rights of fellow workers every day.

Business & Community

Since 2016, Joseph has also been the Owner and Pitmaster of Old Pappys BBQ Catering, combining his passion for business and community. His entrepreneurial spirit reflects his dedication to hard work both inside and outside the union.

Personal Life

Joseph is married and the proud father of three children. He resides in Forks Township and enjoys spending his free time as a motorcycle enthusiast. He is also an active member of the Teamster Horsemen, where he combines his passion for riding with union brotherhood.
